There are hundreds of courses in our content library and there are many pathways to success on your sustainability journey.
While all the courses are available to everyone for free and we encourage enrolment in as many as you wish, your required Learning Pathway or collection of courses will be predetermined for you. Usually, your Learning Pathway will depend on your rank, role, and department. Please consult your HR training head for your Learning Path if this has not already been provided to you.
All training modules within each course are designed to be learned as a cohesive unit, as they build upon each other to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. These modules are interdependent, ensuring that you gain a holistic view and mastery of the topic.
However, any modules that are introduced in the future may stand alone, allowing for flexibility and targeted learning on new and emerging aspects of sustainability. This structure ensures that your foundational knowledge is solid while also enabling you to stay updated with the latest advancements.
For Frontline Employees & Supervisors:
Basic Level
This Basic course provides all the essential knowledge you will need as a frontline employee or supervisor. It covers the fundamentals of sustainability and its significance in our daily lives and work. You will learn key concepts and gain practical tips for conserving resources in the workplace, ensuring you can effectively contribute to our sustainability goals.

For Assistant Managers and higher positions, our training program is structured into four levels of courses
Level 1: Foundations
The Foundations Level is your essential primer for understanding the core principles and practices of sustainability as well as the sustainable development approach. Designed as a prerequisite for all subsequent level, the Foundations Level provides the necessary groundwork to understand and excel in more advanced topics. Once the Foundations level is completed, you will be eligible to progress to the higher levels, each designed to build on the previous one and deepen your expertise. This tiered approach ensures a solid understanding of core principles before advancing to more complex concepts.

Level 2: Intermediate
Ready to take your understanding of sustainability to the next level? In this level, we'll dive deeper into key topics under Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), SM’s sustainability leadership, policy and management systems, the pressing issue of climate change and the importance of carbon management as well as social indicators among many others.
Whether you're a budding sustainability leader or a seasoned professional looking to enhance your knowledge, the courses in this level are designed to equip you with the tools and insights needed to drive meaningful change in a rapidly evolving world.

Level 3: Advanced
The Advanced Level is where knowledge meets action! These courses will empower you to apply your sustainability knowledge effectively in real world scenarios: from mastering reporting standards to navigating data-gathering techniques and sustainability compliance requirements, these courses will equip you with the skills needed to drive impactful change within the organization.
